Dear Parents and guardians,

Yet another academic year is drawing to a close and the many events and schedules have kept us busy. We would like to keep you informed of the upcoming dates and schedules. Kindly retain this circular carefully for your ready reference. We are sure you will take time to note the dates given and stick to the time frame for the smooth functioning of the school.

Articles for Synergy

We invite drawings, articles, poems, short stories in all languages from our children to publish in our school magazine ‘Synergy’. They can be sent by 17^th February.

Class Photograph – March 7^th & 8^th – Std I – IV

Students must come in neat uniforms. Rs.30/- should be paid towards the photograph to the class Teacher by 15^th Feb.

Important Dates:

• 20^th Feb – Mahashivaratri (Holiday)
• 19^th – 27^th March – Unit Test I – IV
• 27^th March – Last Working Day – I-V
• 19^th – 28^th March – Annual Exam V – VIII
• 23^rd March – Ugadi (Holiday)
• 6^th April – Good Friday (Holiday)

Results are staggered to coincide with Book supply dates, we request your co-operation.

Books should be collected on designated dates only. Books should be neatly covered, labeled, diary details filled  in before the re-opening of the school.

The approximate cost of the books will be intimated in the student diary before end of session.

 Transfer Certificate  :

TC Applications should reach the school by the 1^st week of March 2012. For applications received after 15^th April 1^st Instalment of fees will become payable.

 School Fees:

There will be a revision of Tuition fees this year. It is to be noted that there has been no revision of fees in the last two years. The details will be informed by the Management in March. The 1^st instalment of Tuition fees + 6 months smart class fee is payable from 10^th April – 14^th April 2012. Please  adhere to these dates to help us streamline and avoid long queues. If you are unable to pay on these dates kindly remit from 14^th April to 20^th April as different dates are allotted for other classes. Fees paid after 20^th April will be  fined Rs.10/- per day.

Uniforms:

 Uniform measurements will be taken at school from 5^th – 8^th March.  Minimum Two sets of uniforms must be ordered, keeping in mind the growth  spurt of the children.             Newly ordered uniforms will be delivered from 24^th – 27^th May

 Transport:

Kindly register for the Transport facility by filling in the Transport registration form and remitting the fees between 2^nd April – 20^th April.Bus passes can be collected between 24^th – 28^th May 2012.

 Office Timings:

Please note the school office will function from 9: am – 12:00 noon only  from 16^th April to 25^th May. The Admin office will remain closed from 26^th  April to 6^th May’12.

 School Re-opening for New Session :1^st June re-opening day will be half day,  8.30 am – 12.30 pm.

•  UKG / Std I – 25^th May (10:00 am – 1:00 pm)

• 1^st June will be a half-day 8:30 am – 12:30 pm for students of std I.  Mon. 4^th June onwards regular school timings. 8:30 am – 3:00 pm (Mon – Fri.). White uniforms must be worn on Fridays by class-I students.

New Admission Circular

Dear Parents and guardians,

Welcome to the family at RCIS. Please note the important information, dates and schedules to help your child and you prepare to join us at your new school of choice.

 1.  The 1^st instalment of Tuition fees (+ 6 months smart class fee) is payable by cheque

     from 2^nd April – 9^th April 2012. The cheque should be made in favour of Royale Concorde International School, Bangalore.

2.  Re-opening dates for New Session

Class I – XII – 1^st June 2012

Re-opening  day will be a half-day  8:30 am – 12:30 pm

3.  Kindergarten Opening dates

Class Montessori – 4^th June

Class LKG – 6^th June

Class UKG – 6^th June

• Kindergarten classes timing from re-opening date till 8^th June will be till 11:30 am.

• All Kindergarten parents must pick up their wards at 11.30 a.m. till 8^th  June. In case a KG student has opted for school transport, parents must travel along with the student on the return trip till 8^th June, to familiarize the drop points.
• Kindergarten classes will function on regular timings from 11^th June – 8:30 am – 12:30 pm

4.   School Timings

The school will have 5 day week schedule as per the following timings.

Mont– UKG          8.30 a.m. – 12.30 p.m.

(Monday – Friday)

Classes I – IV     8.30 a.m. – 3.00 p.m.

(Monday – Friday)

Classes V – XII      8.30 a.m. – 3.15 p.m.

(Monday – Friday)

5. You are requested to make sure your child is in school before8:25 a.m.and is picked

up on time at the time of dismissal. Students using private vehicles must adhere to

proper school timings. Private cars should be parked on the road adjoining the school

ground.

6. Text books, note books, uniforms and shoes prescribed by the school will be issued at

the designated counters at the school on cash payment on the following dates.

RCIS – CIRCULAR – 06-09-2011

RCIS/07/SC/2011-12

 Dear Parents and guardians,

I am happy to inform you that ‘ASTRA-KIDS’ was a success with the younger students of various schools of Bangalore participating in different competitions, winning prizes and taking fond memories of our hospitality. The young RCIANS won prizes in every event and we are proud of our youngsters.

I would also like to inform you that in the discipline of swimming our students won 51 medals at Greenwood High Swim Meet and 15 medals at The International School Bangalore (TISB) Swimming Competition.

At RCIS, we are keen on improving our systems and facilities be it student centered learning, faculty training or innovations in teaching methodology as an ongoing process.   The Chairman’s vision of integrating modern technology in everyday teaching will take shape with the implementation of Smart Class–a digital instruction content. Each classroom of RCIS will be equipped with an interactive board, projector, speakers and built in computer with scanner. A knowledge centre located in RCIS will transmit learning contents, worksheets, pictures, downloads even rhymes, to students of KG to XII.

This collaborative effort with Educomp Solution Ltd., we hope will create an exciting learning environment and enhance the knowledge skills of our students. The hardware and software license comes to us at a very affordable cost of around Rs.12/- per day. This will be installed in Nov 2011, hence a user fee of Rs.2,100/- will be charged for only 6 months, this academic year. Next year onwards the fee will be charged for 12 months.

We hope this initiative and improvement in facility and usage will be welcomed by the student and parent community. This amount of Rs.2100/- will be collected along with the 3^rd instalment of Tuition fee due on or before 20^th Oct. Please note the school office will remain closed from 1^st Oct – 9^th Oct during the dasara holidays.

I would like to inform you that applications for admission to academic session 2012-13 will be issued from 15^th Sept. I request parents looking for admission for their children to kindly pick-up the application, as first preference would be given initially to siblings of RCIS students.

I am glad to inform you that RCIS will have a new school at Yelahanka – Royale Concorde International School-Yelahanka (CBSE) upto stdVIIinitially. The location is at Attur close to Purvankara Venezia and Nagarjuna Apts at Yelahanka New Town.
